About Angel
Angel Volkart is a hard enduro rider, storyteller, and host of the Brraap Life podcast who discovered dirt biking at 28 and has rebuilt her life one trail at a time. She began on a small TTR-125, riding only a few hours a year, before deciding after a difficult divorce to truly chase the sport that made her feel alive. Standing five feet tall on a full-size 300 dirt bike she calls “Happy,” Angel is proof that height, age, or background don’t define who belongs in Hard Enduro.
Since 2024 she has trained across the country, ridden in 16 states, and lined up for some of the toughest events in the U.S., including King of the Motos this year. Her personal mantra, “I do hard things for fun,” guides everything from technical rock sections to real-life challenges off the bike.
Through her podcast and media work, Angel amplifies the voices of everyday riders…especially women and youth…so more people can see themselves in the sport. She believes dirt biking is more than a hobby: it’s a pathway to confidence, resilience, and community. Angel’s mission is simple: help others find the same joy she found on two wheels and prove that if she can do it, anyone can.
What We Think
“Talking with Angel reminded me how powerful a simple decision can be…like naming your bike Happy and choosing to show up. Her mantra “I do hard things for fun” made me smile because that’s exactly what this lifestyle teaches us. I loved how honest she was about starting late, being “too short,” and still chasing hard enduro with her whole heart. This interview felt like a reminder that confidence isn’t found ~ it’s built, one ride at a time.” - Charlene
