History
Charlene's History is way more elaborate than you may think. This is the 20th year of the race and Charlene has attended 18. She missed the beer run and the first official year only. The first year she came out with her company, Bower Media, worked for Hammerking Productions and built the first ever vendor show on the lakebed among other key elements. She has been in attendance every year since helping racers and companies with media exposure and ommon-interest ladies meeting each other in a fun and fast moving environment.Bower Media was among the first to tell the drivers stories, provide Racer Marketing Classes, and so much more.
In 2014 & 2015 she threw on a helmet and did the Backdoor Challenge ~ completing it both years in a 4cyl YJ Buggy ~ making her the "Fastest Girl up Backdoor". CLICK HERE to Watch a Video from 2016 🙂
There are over 80,000 spectators annually with a majority of them camping on the dry lake bed. This event is now known as the largest gathering of offroad vehicles and enthusiast. Every type of vehicle is there and probably modified which makes looking at all the spectator vehicles as much fun as watching the racing.
