Jody DeVere and Charlene Bower are a powerhouse duo united by their passion for empowering women in the automotive and offroad industries. Their friendship, forged through SEMA pre-2009, has been fueled by a shared drive to champion female leadership and adventure.
Charlene made Rebelle Rally history in 2016 as the inaugural champion, conquering the challenge alongside her trusty Jeep JK, "Frankie." Now, as the Rebelle Rally celebrates its milestone 10th year, she and Frankie return to the competition - ready to prove once again why they’re a force to be reckoned with.
Jody, a dedicated Rebelle Rally staff member for nine years, is stepping into a new role this year: Competitor. After years of supporting Rebelles behind the scenes, she’s embracing the challenge of navigation and endurance firsthand.
Together, Jody and Charlene embody the spirit of the Rebelle: perseverance, teamwork, friendship, and the relentless pursuit of excellence and exploration. They both harness pushing their personal limits to the max.

Blending the love of driving with the ultimate challenge of precise navigation, the Rebelle tests your skills over 8 days of competition. It is not a race for speed, but a unique and demanding event based on the elements of headings, hidden checkpoints, time, and distance using maps, compass, and roadbook. Covering 2,500 kilometers of stunning terrain across the Nevada and California desert. NO GPS. NO CELL PHONES.

It Boasts a Unique & Challenging Format
The Rebelle Format meets their competitive mission, works on public lands, respects the environment, with a unique points system that pushes competitors. It is a game of strategy.
- Compass & Map Challenges - Green, Blue, Black Diamond, & X Checkpoints
- Enduro Challenges - Roadbooks to stay "on time" or "on route"
- Black diamond CPs are scored on a step method "nearest the bullseye"
- Enduro challenges can include "extreme enduros"
- Competitors are given a CP Guide with all needed information for the stage & must plot latitude longitudes or heading & distances on the map to identify locations of CPs.
- Highest score wins
- 10-12+ hours of competition per day
- Competitors return to "base camp" at the end of a stage
- Minimum 1 marathon stage per rally = no overnight base camp
