Tell us about yourself.

Jeeping is really my life, it provides my livelihood and my leisure. Off-roading is an amazing way to see the things that not many others get to see. This is why I love it so much! It also provides uninterrupted time with my family (which we all know is so hard to come by). I am mother to a 15 year old, amazing son who is a drummer, and wife to an awesome husband. My German Shepherds are also a huge part of my life. I love to keep life simple and enjoy all of the moments life has to offer and unique experiences.

Liz-Fisher-LOC-FeatHow long have you been offroading?

Approximately 5 years.

How did you get into offroading?

My husband has been an off-roader his entire life. When we got married, he worked on me for a long time before I ‘gave in’ and went with him. It was SO FUN and different for me. I grew up with a single mom who believed that vehicles belong on the pavement. It took several trips before I got up the courage to get behind the wheel. Once I did, I was hooked! I haven’t been able to get enough off pavement driving since! It’s an addiction (a good one)!

P.S. my mom now off-roads too and she loves it!

Liz-Fisher-LOC-FeatTell us about your vehicle.

Ruckus (2008 JKU) equipped with: Rubicon Express 4 link long arm, Rubicon Express FOX coilovers, Ultimate Dana 60 axles with air lockers, 40" Maxxis Treppadors, Raceline beadlocks, Currie antirock system,  Poison Spyder trail cage, full Poison Spyder armor and TNT Customs skids, 4 point harnesses, Warn Zeon winch and a whole bunch of safety gear.

What has been your favorite offroad experience?

Easter Jeep Safari - it’s our family vacation every year.

Liz-Fisher-LOC-FeatWhat was your most exciting offroad achievement?

The first time I drove up the launchpad - seeing nothing but sky all the way up, trusting my spotter, my Jeep, and my skill all the way up. I was shocked, amazed, and thrilled beyond words when I made it up! It was really the first obstacle that I drove.

What excites you about offroading?

Being able to see the world as many will never see it. The beauty of the world is astounding if you can get out there and explore it! It’s also very exciting to conquer obstacles and live on the edge . . . safely on the edge!

Liz-Fisher-LOC-FeatWhat do you think is the most challenging aspect of offroading?

TRUST! Trusting your abilities, trusting your spotter, trusting gravity, trusting your vehicle, trusting anything that comes up unexpectedly. It was and is very challenging to put unwavering trust in anything.

Which aspect of offroading do you think is the most fun?

Exploring all that there is to see - getting outside!

Liz-Fisher-LOC-FeatWhat does prepping for an adventure look like in your world?

Lots and lots of over-preparation! Making sure the rig is in good operating condition mechanically. Packing the supplies: gear box with all fluids, tools, extra tools, extra fluids, extra everything you may or may not need, first aid kit refill for worst case scenarios, water, food, extra layers of clothing, CB checked, highlift mounted, good attitude checked and on board, lots of sunscreen, a hat, and a full tank of fuel with some extra fue.

What is on your off-roading bucket list?

The Rubicon Trail (any way that I can get there), complete an off-road race on my own, and become a trail guide/leader at Easter Jeep Safari.

Liz-Fisher-LOC-FeatTell us about your typical off-roading companions.

My awesome hubby and my son, our friends in the area who love to Jeep. Most recently, my mom as well.

What is a piece of advice you have been given that you instill in your offroading adventures?

Safety first, no matter what! Also, over prepare when you are planning to go off-roading.

Do you have anything else you would like to add?

Thank you to my husband for teaching me and getting me into this bobby! Thank you to my son for helping me become more fearless. Thank you Charlene for the amazing opportunity to participate and for creating this challenge. Thank you to all who voted for me as well! Unique facts: I am super organized, I am a bookworm, my iPod is filled with everything from Johnny Cash to ‘Lil Wayne and Garth Brooks, Tupac, and P!nk, as long as it has a beat I can dance to! Also, I am the best air drummer in the world and Dolly Parton is my superhero.
