Author: Charlene Bower

MESA, AZ   NOVEMBER 15, 2017: The 2017 Ladies Offroad Challenge finalist Megan Stevenson and Charlene Bower have been ingrained in the 2017 50th SCORE Baja 1000 since Friday. The BFGoodrich Tires pits and Ladies Racing are the two main focuses for their media coverage that is available at www.LadiesOffroadNetwork.com/baja-1000.   We are excited to announce that we have found 62 ladies that will be putting on a helmet during the race as a driver, co-driver or navigator. (This is an unofficial number as we are still looking for more!)

“I’m not surprised, but I am really excited about it. Its nice to feel that there is a bigger community of women out there that we didn’t know about,” said Megan Stevenson, the Ladies Offroad Challenge winner for the Baja 1000 and who was one of the 27 exposed ladies that raced King of the Hammers.  Charlene Bower followed in excitement, “It is so great to have been able to create this list and meet most all these ladies.  I can’t wait to cheer them on as they traverse down the peninsula the next few days and as they continue onto future races!  This is what Ladies Offroad Network is all about!”

There are officially 7 Drivers of Record that are ladies: 80 Jessi Combs, 168 Shelby Reid, 232 Chelsea Magness, 1645 Viry Felix, 1954 Kristen Matlock, 2924 Lacrecia Beurrier and 2968 Christine Giampaoli Zonca.
